A veteran who served in Beirut. He and I have become involved with the local veterans community and bring different, but complementary experiences and viewpoints to the table.  An ex-Marine and inner-city resident, Mike brings experience, street smarts, credibility, and passion.

Wookie

  • Service Animal, Therapy Dog
  • Wookie is a rescue from North Carolina
  • She works with Healthspan.US to educate and advocate for holistic supports to enable strong sustainable recovery tools.

Wookie bases her work on the evidence based practice that pet-assisted therapies help troubled children, people with autism, and those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other mental health disorders as well as  drug addiction. Pets help normalize brain chemistry.
