 The VA Medical Center in Northport offers a wide range of medical, surgical, mental health, physical rehabilitation, vocational/employment, substance abuse, pharmacy, aging and women’s services. Most honorably discharged wartime and peacetime veterans are eligible for VA care.

For Substance Abuse:

The Northport VAMC provides treatment for substance abuse, beginning at the Access Center located on the first floor of building 63, open weekdays. Walk-ins accepted. You may also call to schedule an appointment at (516) 261-4400 ext. 2416.

For Housing:

Homeless veterans, or those at risk for homelessness, can walk-in or call for help.

Families in Support of Treatment (F.I.S.T) is a non-profit corporation created to help families who have loved ones that are struggling with the disease of addiction. Addiction causes devastation to individuals as well at their families. Often family members don’t know where to turn for help. Help is available and F.I.S.T was developed to help family members find and access help for themselves and their loved ones.
