Our first annual fundraiser brunch will take place on December 4th, 2016 at The Grill located in Hauppauge, NY. This year’s theme is “A Reason to Celebrate!”. Our goal is to raise $10,000. This money will be used to pay for the training of worthy individuals in their goal of becoming a NYS credentialed peer professionals and entering the growing ranks of Long Islands’s vibrant support community. In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses and individuals such as yourself. Come back soon to this site to purchase tickets to the event!

In 2012 New York State joined the efforts being made in other states by establishing an additional layer of assistance/support for those seeking success in obtaining and sustaining recovery.
Recovery Coaches, Peer Specialists and Peer Advocates are credentialed, non-clinical professionals who promote recovery by removing barriers and obstacles to recovery, serving as personal guides and mentors for people seeking, (or already in,) recovery. There is now solid statistical evidence that individuals taking advantage of the services of a Peer Professionals are far more likely to be successful in long-term recovery.
